North American Prep Hockey League

The NAPHL is has over 15 years’ experience in Prep School Hockey. The goal of the NAPHL is to provide prep hockey programs with the best competition and exposure to Canadian and USA junior programs along with CIS and NCAA hockey programs. The NAPHL will provide a larger competition pool than participating in localized leagues and create options for North American Prep Schools to play a variety of opponents. They will be a Championship for all Prep Schools at the end of each year. The NAPHL will provide its members with a series showcase weekends, culminating with Championship in March.


The goal of the NAPHL is to provide Showcase weekend games and offer a variety of opponents. The NAPHL will focus on Varsity, U16, U14 and Girls age groups and try to offer exposure for players to move on to their next level of play in the future.


The NAPHL provides prep programs alternate way to boost their Prep hockey program and substitute for league-play, exhibition games and tournaments against other prep schools. The NAPHL is to provide a competitive environment that is fair, performance driven and promotes the importance of sportsmanship, and safety.


The NAPHL is a quality league that prides itself on providing the best quality games in Showcases that they can. With our Showcases in convenient locations, game times and dates, the NAPHL really works with the schools/teams to offer the best schedule that accommodates the hockey programs but most importantly the student athlete.

THE NAPHL WILL PLAY FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY EACH YEAR.


THE MESTEL CHAMPIONSHIP CUP

VARSITY– U16 DIVISION – U14 - GIRLS

Moving forward the NAPHL members have all agreed to name the NAPHL Showcase Championship trophy after Simon Mestel. Simon was a long serving and active member for years in prep school hockey. Simon joined Blyth Academy for several years and started the Blyth Academy Bruins in Toronto out of Westwood arena. They had two teams for many years under the U18 and U16 divisions. Simon won a few league championships along the way. Simon was a passionate person and loved the game of hockey. First to the rink and last to leave all the time. Simon while deceased, will be remembered by many hockey families, players, and colleagues for his devotion to the game and hard work around the rink.


The Mestel Cup Trophy for the NAPHL will be presented every year to the league winner of Varsity, U16, U14 and Girls division and the teams will be crowned National Champions.
